Your keyboard on macOS

Choose your layout: key combinations change from one layout to another.

Which layout do I have?

To find your layout, open System Settings › Keyboard › Input Sources.

Also look at the shape of your keyboard: an extra key next to the left Shift means an ISO (European) keyboard; a wide left Shift with no key beside it means an ANSI (US) keyboard.

Each layout page shows the full keyboard, layer by layer, with the list of special characters and dead keys. Combinations are extracted from the system definitions, not copied.
